I only heard a bit in the background but on Fan960 they just advertised Saturdays game as a "Bennett vs Lucic showdown" What the hell?
Did I hear that wrong?

No you didn't, it was the Hockey Night in Canada Commercial for this week's match ups. It made no sense to me either, but just before that they mention the Gaudreau vs. McDavid match up. I think the point was meant to be something like will the game be a battle of skill with two of the best in the game, or maybe it will be a physical tilt with the likes of Lucic and Bennett........or maybe both.
Anyway, I thought it was dumb, but that's what I think they were going for.

The full line is something like "Will it be a McDavid and Gaudreau showing of skill or a Bennett and Lucic showdown."

Czarnik just looks easy to play against.
He doesn't fore check well, or win one on one battles often. He does look good in open ice and away from the puck on a rush, but in his own zone he is ineffective.
That said, he is good for spot duty, and his contract is team friendly so its hard to be angry about what he has brought to the team. I guess what I am saying is it makes sense he doesn't play every game and it isn't the end of the world that he does.

Teams like Arizona and Detroit? The Red Wings don't score much as it is, and Smith was solid the last time he played them. I suspect this game will unfold much the same.
