I actually like Sandman in Spider-Man 3, except for the whole he killed Uncle Ben part.

Hopefully they really go off with Mysterio's powers at some point in the film. I was really hoping for a Dr. Strange style mind-bending effect.

He turned down multiple DC projects in favor of this, hope it works out for him but I would have loved to see him helm Man of Steel 2.

No thanks to anymore Superman movies. He is just way too powerful. The only time it is worth watching is if he is fighting another Kryptonian.

I'm pretty choked this came out before Endgame.
Do you really need to tease Spider-man at this point? I think Marvel has established themselves enough that they don't need to play spoiler for themselves to sell tickets to something.
In fact, it probably would have been a cool thing to Cloverfield all their movies after Endgame and just drop them like a month after their first trailer.

How do you know this isn't before the events of Infinity War/End Game?
Also I assume you were aware of more Spiderman movies coming down the pipe before/after you saw Infinity War. Did you think it wouldn't be Tom Holland behind the mask?

No, of course I knew. But I'm an adult super-nerd. Some kids might not have.
The point is pop-culture is fully engaged in their story arc. When you're trying to weave together movies like this and you have a cliffhanger like Infinity War, I think people would have been fine not to hear anything (including the announcements of the sequels) from Marvel until after Endgame for the thrill of suspense.

Oh yeah...idiots punching other idiots through buildings, over and over again. That never gets old.

Also, the way the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man deal works, Sony can release Spider-Man whenever they want. They still retain rights over all distribution and marketing of stand-alone Spider-Man movies, even if they're created by Marvel Studios. In exchange, Marvel gets to use Spider-Man in their team-up movies. So Marvel/Disney likely had little say in when this movie was coming out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony is playing games withe Marvel on purpose. I think that even Sony was surprised at how well the Venom movie did. Surely they want to edge Spiderman out of the MCU and towards their own universe at some point.

The Sandman sections of that movie were well done. Venom being shoehorned in made it brutal.

Thats like saying that the sugary-icing on this otherwise disgusting cake was kind of okay other than the unavoidable taste of disgusting cake.

A performance can be good in a crap movie. It's possible like parts of a movie but not the whole thing.

I agree with you...with some very noted exceptions.

Well better than Superman vs anyone in the DC or Marvel Universe.
He can take on the entire avengers team plus their reserves plus thanos. The only way he can lose is if you blow up the Sun. So only the Dragonball Z guys can kill him.
