It's a shame that the MVP in this league never goes to a non-forward.
Here is a guy who is doing literally everything at an elite level but won't even get one vote for the MVP.
Johnny of course is having an a great offensive season, as are Kuch, Rantanen, Mack, etc, but Gio is playing at PPG pace (as a d-man) and is probably one of the top three best defensive players as well. Couple that with his tenacity, leadership and work ethic and he's deserving of being considered the best player in the league this season.
