The domination that season by those 2 teams was insane.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, that team only lost 17 games the whole season, insanely good!

I do t think it was a weak call. It just wasn't a traditional trip. I think Huberdeau's stick pushed against Gaudreau's skate blade as he turned. Which is still a trip.
Thing is, that was the first call against the Panthers all game. Late in the 3rd. It wasn't like the Flames had the refs in their back pocket all game. If Oiler fans are going to complain about it, they need to make sure it's legit.

Washington got snuffed in the first round by Philly IIRC.

LA had 91 points.

I just noticed that Tkachuk is wearing the 'A' at home, did they switch just for this game or has it been like this for a few games?

Great ATL as always Gaskal

I always forget Frolik was a Panther. Always think of the Blackhawks and Jets when I think of his career pre Calgary. I really hope whatever issues he and his agent have with Peters get sorted out because I do love that guy, a great utility player to have

Bennett - Jankowski - Neal were the only line to show up Period 1, and I thought stayed strong all game. I like the look of that line.

If we can find a way to add one more good piece up front, well...that sure would be something. Perhaps a nice veteran non-Bouwmeester defenseman as well.

I love this team.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but this is a pet peeve of mine.
So... I guess Game of Thrones is not safe for work? Bummer.

I miss Stryker as well so occasionally post his gif.

His response to the whole NSFW thing was classic.

Would be nice to see him back.

Coming home late from Saddledome, opening CP and finding ATL report right there on the first click - oh, what a feeling!

That slash should be looked at by the league.

I get that Yandle hit the stick and no injury occured, but the intent was there and it was an absolutely vicious double handed chop.

I hope I wake up to a Tweet or a SureLoss post stating he has a phone hearing.

I liked Kylington stepping up and I liked the response too but when I watched it live and now even moreso on the replay, it looks like he leaves his feet there. But hey, I'm a Flames fan first and foremost and would rather them play slightly on the edge than butter soft. Always thought Regher's tunnel of death was generally borderline but man did I ever love watching opponents get wrecked in that corner.

I think they switched at the halfway point of the season. In the first half, Backlund wore it at home and Tkachuk on the road. In the second half, Tkachuk will wear it at home and Backlund on the road.
