Conner doesn't have gears... he plays the same way regardless of the importance of the game, whether it is preseason, regular season, or playoffs... he just plays the same way at the same pace. While other players are turning it up, going into another gear during the playoffs, Conner is just playing the same way, which makes him appear not as good in comparison to others.

Wait.... how did the Islander's get Barzal in the first place, and what did Edmonton get for that? How did they get Eberle?
So the net trade would be:
Spooner and a 1st to Edmonton for McDavid. Sounds like the next progression for Chia to do if you ask me, it's totally possible with him at the helm.

I doubt it. They'd just have to find a team overflowing with assets that can afford to trade a king's ransom. I think several teams would step up with amazing offers.
Unless McDavid requests a trade I don't think there's any chance they'd trade him. So I don't know why everyone spends so much time talking about it. I mean I get that it's a fantasy for a lot of Flames fans, it would be funny. But in the end I think it's just a fantasy for now. Maybe a year or more from now but I don't think McDavid is demanding a trade any time soon.
The idea that they wouldn't get any amazing offers is even more of a fantasy that you're indulging in TC. I agree with you most of the time but not on this one.

Right now Minnys on track for 90 points. So they could maybe get in with a 22-15-1.
Right now they're under .500 team, so um good luck with that. Also the other teams in the wild card are way ahead on ROW, so make the record 23-15 for 91 points.
