Best: The Departed
Worst: The Black Dahila

One had me guessing what was gonna happen around every turn, the other had me wanting to leave the theater the moment the opening credits were done. The wife had higher hopes, otherwise we would have left.

Other mentionables... I'm in the Talladega Nights Thumbs Down club. Seemed like a bunch of ad libs gone wrong. Nothing to it. I did however enjoy Beerfest, as I hoped that Broken Lizard would redeem themselves after Club Dread. Clerks 2 was good... and MI3 was a good revival of the franchise, but not the greatest movie of the year. I didn't mind Superman either, but thought the whole kid angle was a little too much.

Not a banner year for movies, but still some gooders out there.

Haven't been to too many movies either this year, but I'll definately say:

Bad: Talladega Nights. Only a couple of funny bits.
Not Bad: Pirates of the Carribean 2

Thinking of seeing Aragon this week (no kids!!! ). Is it any good?

Nacho Libre had to be the worst of the year. Everyone said it was good, but i tried watching it twice, and each time I had to turn the garbage off, and I am a huge Jack Black fan.

Total waste of time. Funny thing is, I got the DVD for christmas.

Pirates is just like Two Towers...it's just there to set up the final movie. It was good, but just like any trilogy....the first and the third movies are the really good ones

i would advise going to see this one with the kids. it is a decent movie, but much more suited for the younger crowd.
it is much more tame the LOTR's.

Of the ones I've seen so far, the best have been The Departed, Stranger than Fiction, and Casino Royale. Worst was MI:3. Most disappointing was Marie Antoinette.

Best:

1. Talladega Nights
2. The Departed

Worst:

1. All the Kings Men
2. Lady in the Water
3. Click

A lot of movies that weren't great or awful.

I liked Pirates of the Caribbean. It really got me excited to see the third movie and was decent enough on its own.

Huh, a lot of people liked The Departed and Nacho Libre. The former I thought was so-so, and the second I thought was horrid. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I loved Thank You For Smoking.

I think Nacho Libre is misunderstood. It's rated PG...why is it rated PG? There's a reason. I thought it was hilarious in a non-Jack Black way.

Talladega Nights was funny, but not nearly funny enough. Glad I waited to rent it...same with Dupree. Some funny stuff, but not enough.

I haven't seen most of the movies I want to yet..many of which are on the best lists above.

Weird. I actually find the Two Towers the best of the LOTR movies. NON-Extended edition though, the extended version of it sucks.

My Best Movies:

The Departed
The Illusionist
Clerks 2
Oops... forgot to Add
Jackass 2
Borat
and Thank you for Smoking

Worst

Taladega Nights
The Prestige
Prarie Home Companion (saw it ona flight... jeezus)

I've been to the movie theater twice this year..Borat and Jackass #2 ... both I found to be hilarious ..so they'ed have to be the best of the year.. just saw Pirate 2 and thought it was okay, definitely not as good as #1 ....worst Ive seen is Nacho Libre..but I only saw 25 minutes of it..I got tired and turned it off .. also watched the breakup with my gf and went in thinking it was a total chick flick and it really surprised me ..was pretty good.. so.. in order

Best.
1. Jackass #2
2. Borat
3. The Break-up

Worst.
1. Nacho Libre

So-so.
1. Pirates #2

Casino Royale was the best BY FAR.

V For Vendetta came out in 2006 didn't it? That was a great movie. The Prestige was awesome too.
