Huh? Edmonton does not have 2 generational talents.

Orr, Lafleur, Gretzky, Mario, Lindros, Crosby and McDavid are the ONLY players considered generational coming into the NHL. A few people also called Auston Matthews "Generational" but overall he don't make the list as he wasn't widely/unanimously considered Generational.

No luck for the Coyotes. Schmaltz put up 5g 9a in 17 games since the trade.

I don't think that'll go away, but I always chuckle when I hear it.

If Matthews went to Columbus, few in Toronto would know who Matthew Austin is. But he's 'generational'

Wow, tough break.. that hurts big time.

I'm not convinced Hughes is the next "big thing" honestly, I feel its pretty over hyped mind you I've seen limited showings.

Just my gut feeling, I don't see him carrying a team like Crosby/McDavid etc.

The Coyotes getting Hughes would actually make their forward group look pretty damn dangerous, especially if Keller, Schmaltz, Garland, and Galchenyuk continue to progress

Fischer - Stepan - Galchenyuk
Grabner - Dvorak - Garland
Crouse - Richardson - Panik (UFA)/Hinostroza
Cousins

OEL - Demers
Chychrun - Goligoski

Raanta
Hill

Lots to like there. The Coyotes just have a metric ton of injuries. The bolded guys are currently out long-term. Demers and Schmaltz play on their top pairing and line and are out for the season. Ridiculous stuff.
