That wasn’t Rittich leaving space between the arm and goal, it was above shoulder beside neck. A goal scorer’s goal.

Rittich has played well, we’d be down by two with anyone else in net.

To be fair Rittich has saved at least 2 that should have been goals

it was a great shot, but Rittich misplayed it; there wasn't a reason to go down at the point...kane was almost at the icing line

Crash and Bang Winger

Rittich didnt even really cheat, just a perfect shot from Kane. Now we know how other teams feel when Johnny beats their goalies from ridiculous angles. Not even mad

True, it was a nice shot. But Kane wasn't going anywhere else. Rittich went down a little quick and left some room.

Scoring Winger

4th line looking great tonight. Feels like Czarnik is going to find a way to get on the scoresheet.

Yes, because he would have already let 2 of the other shots in and it would be 3-1 Hawks.
Rittich gets the benefit of the doubt becuase, even with that goal, he's still over .900 save percentage in the game.

Probably but Rittich has earned leeway with his stellar goaltending. Smith has not.

Hogwash. That was a nice goal from a proven sniper. Rittich was in good position, but the puck bounced off the back of his shoulder. That's just bad luck.

He was on his backhand, could have thrown it out front. Goalie has to prep for that push

He was in reverse VH, which, from where Kane was on the ice, is the correct choice.
