The Futureshop inventory system seems really chaotic as far as appliances. As we were waiting in line, they told people they were sold out of a certain washer/dryer set, so a bunch of people left the line. About fifteen minutes later, it turned out that they had 42 of those same units in stock. Similarly, when we got to the front of the line, the one fellow said they were out of stock on the fridge we wanted. The other clerk told him he should check the system again, and sure enough there were 3 units available.

Visions also had a 42" Plasma for 484 bucks, obviously they are all gone now, but that is pretty cheap.
I was at Northland and it was pretty chaotic there. Stayed far from Market Mall though, shudder...

I got a pair of G-star jeans at Underground. Regular price was $229.99 before GST, but I got it for under $55 after GST
Not a bad deal

Yeah, I would never buy them if they were regular price, but at $55, I couldn't afford not to buy it

Was that that Whirlpool front load set. I was thinking of trying to get in on that as I'm going to need a new washer and dryer at some point in time. Seemed like a decent deal to get the set for $1400.

That just goes to show how overpriced most clothing is. What clothing store isn't selling everything for at least 25% off today. My wife always tries to justify it as a good deal. In reality they're raping you the other 325 days a year when the stuff isn't on sale.

Yeah, that sounds like the right price and model. We were at the NE futureshop location... I'm not sure how their inventory system works... whether each has their own or there's a central one for all the Calgary locations.

For appliances their inventory is a central warehouse for western canada I believe.

nothing good here in San Jose..the thanksgiving sales were much better. I was disappointed...most of the clothing is advertised as being on sales, but they just jacked up the prices and then put it on sale to make it seem like it was on sale. Id definately much rather go shopping on Thanksgiving to buy cheaper stuff (although those crowds are way worse)

Whirlpool is ok for laundry, however if you want the best out there. I would advise you to go with the LG brand for laundry. By far and away the most reliable and technologically advanced laundry out there right now.

I wasn't all that impressed with the deals aside from the odd door crasher. Most often I find the better deals come in January and early February when retail has its slowest months of the year.

I think FutureStop was ripping people off today. Online they had a Samsung HTIB for $299. Went I stopped by today, they had them there but with no sale signs on them and just the original price tags. I wonder if someone bought it if they would actually get the sale price or not. There were a ouple other things that were the same scenario.

Saw the crowds on TV on the news. I don't think any deal is worth the waiting in line, fighting the crowd, looking for parking if you come in the middle of the day, etc.
