Because a large part of goaltending is positioning. And all he needed to do was have himself square to the play. But he was still standing, with a huge 5 hole, and was unable to react to the tip from the guy right in front of him who they were trying to set up for the tip.

If he is simply square to the play, in the butterfly, then he would have had most possible scenarios covered.

The puck never seems to hit him, despite the fact that he is 6'6"

That second pairing has been a disappointment. It's better than last year but it's just not good enough most nights. I don't know how much of the blame to put on the forwards they are paired with but Hamonic and Hanifin get scored on far too often.

Nice play by Brodie to draw everyone to him and get it to a wide-open Czarnik.... and then Czarnik held on to it long enough to make sure the element of surprise was long gone before he shot it.
