Especially since no matter where he's gone, all reports indicate that Neal is a terrific teammate with a great attitude. So I'm curious what Francis' source is on that, and if it's the same one saying Monahan had a bad attitude and no compete

Gaudreau finishes December with 9 multi point games, out of 14 games in December.

Monahan with 5 assist and hardly any comments about it.

Just another day at the office for him; getting points and getting under rated.

I think the Dumba hit and the Bennett hit are very similar in a player finishing a check, and the reciever not as fully aware as they shouldve been.

Problem Bennett may have with the wheel of NHL justice in that comparison is the score and time left in the game, and it being a revenge hit for his getting speared earlier in the period.

Ryan Leslie had this frozen clay smile on his face while Francis was going off about it, as if silently thinking "No, no, and definitely not. Nope. No as well... nope"

Watching the game tonight it occurred to me that my memories of the Flames go back 32 years, and in all that time there's only one player (Theo) who holds a candle to Johnny as far as pure entertainment goes.

We're so lucky to watch his level of genius at work for the right uniform. Such a rare talent.

Still only a 2nd line centre (or RW)?

Ha! Monahan is so underrated.

May as well post some Monahan classics too:

Neal actually grabbed that puck. Hope he threw it at Francis after the game.

Karlsson is immune to slashing penalties apparently. Cut your hair idiot. When we say we want nhl players to have personality it doesn’t mean we want them to look like Captain Hook from Peter Pan. What a diva.

Great ATL Gaskal! Thanks!

IMO, this quote is the pinnacle of a rival team's woes:

Quote:
All the Oilers gear I wear is getting packed away, I'm too embarrassing to be seen out in public with it, again.
Too embarrassed to be seen as a fan of your own team which you've followed for years...
Wow.

also, LOL!

The Flames are only considered dirty cause we're winning. If San Jose won that game it would be considered a hard fought battle. Other teams don't like it when we get in the gutters with them and win.

Kudos to Burns for just holding on to tkachuk in the scrum- while Kane and Hathaway wrestled. I actually respect that move.

Francis is a dirt bag reporter. He is just old enough to be on the dying years of t.v reporting . When the end of cable comes it's not like people will be searching out his online presence. He an origianln type of troll which started on t.v they are slowly dieing off . It is his only way of trying to stay relevant .

Bad game to miss, just glad to see a big win.

Just saw some of the replays........I was expecting the Bennett hit to be much worse. Not that he shouldn't get a fine or a game, but man I thought it was going to be terribly late. Looked fairly similar to the Dumba hit........late hit late in a game with a player not expecting it. LOL at those Sharks fans hoping for 20 games or saying it was similar to McSorley.........c'mon guys come back to reality.

And worse of all was Kane's comments about how the team played after he left the ice. Dude, you're not Bob Probert. The Flames aren't scared of you. Nobody is. Stop making out with yourself in the mirror, cripes.

Anyways, another big win for a good team during a fun season. Let's keep it going in 2019! Happy New Year's everyone!
