After being able to watch the hit on YouTube on 0.25 instead of full speed, seems more like 0.6 seconds instead of 0.8.
The word late was spouted about 15 times after the hit, just mentally conditioning you to assume it was. It was either exactly on the threshold of 0.6 or was at MOST 0.2 seconds late. Yes it wasn't needed, especially in the last minute of a win, but personally, I don't think he gets suspended. I'd even bet on it.
