Pretty good period for CGY. SJS was able to apply a lot of pressure (hit a post) so CGY has to really keep going hard.
Obviously Backlund's line was good but CGY needs to play hard and smart defensively and get more clean exits. Also handle the puck well and don't turn it over and give them second chances. A little too much given to SJS and they don't need that.
CGY can definitely 'build their game' as Peters says and step it up a little. Need to play in their end but again be smart and win battles in the defensive zone. Good playing but let's see CGY turn it up more and more.

Gotta say when the Flames have played good teams this year the games have been fantastic. Nice to see them rise to the occasion

Most to the point, look what happens when Tkachuk and Backlund are removed from Bennett.
This may be coincidence but I don't think so.
Love Bennett, on the 4th line.

Lindholm's in a bit of a lull. Don't mind it but this is 3 games in a row now where whoever I'm listening to on the tv keeps saying he needs to get back to shooting the puck more. It's fine to playmake but you have Johnny on your wing. Your job is to shoot on that top line. Shoot!
3M line having a special period singing "Reunited an it feels so good!"
A PP goal! Yay!
No SH goal yet....Booooooo.

Well he compared his emotions to Hasek, not necessarily his skills. Still a great complement and I am sure BSD appreciated it.

Eh, idk. I think rotating Bennett and Frolik throughout the year on that line isn’t a bad thing. Bennett played a good first period and brings more of a north south game to that line. Frolik is a better possession player with a better two way game. Both bring different aspects to that line, let’s not forget that Bennett was very good for a solid stretch on that line. Backlund was not

If that was a live shot of the concourse, they just showed a Canuck fan in a Canuck jersey walking by in the Dome. Why do fans do this?

Hasek was the greatest flopping goalie of all time. With his height and his gumby like body, he could flop and flail and have the puck hit him anywhere he wanted. Two very differrent goalies he and Ritter are. But if the emotion and energy are comparable, kudos to Ritter or Kudos to the Czechs for making crazy goalies.

When Dominik Hašek was 26, the same age as David Rittich, Hašek was still with the Blackhawks.

I don't mind crazy saskies wearing rider's jerseys but not canucks jerseys in the Dome when the canucks aren't playing. That is not cool.
The being said, that clip may not have been from tonight.

Jerseys are expensive and people should wear them where they want to IMO.
Being a Canucks fan is a worse decision than wearing a Canucks jersey to a Flames game

Rittich compared to Hasek and Kipper in the intermission. I hope that didn't jinx him.
