The condition on the third is that the Panthers get the better of the Oilers/Islander pick. Almost cruel of the Panthers, just take the Edmonton pick as you know it will be better and move on. Instead now both picks are tied up ha.

It didn’t matter who the protected because they had a (terrible) side deal worked out.
The Panthers would actually be in a decent spot I think if they didn’t decide to promote their AHL coach to NHL GM and then bring in Tallon to desperately have to shed salary
