Man, some people around here have such short memories. Brouwer was soooooo bad, dudes. Like, he hardly even shot the puck. I am so glad he's gone.

Not me. Brouwer didn't have a lick of off ice intangibles and was part of underachieving Flames teams. Neal seems to be having no adverse affects on the top team in the Division.

Jankowski? At least 7

Bennett is what he is at this point but Jesus tap dancing Christ can you imagine how great the top 6 would be if the #4 overall pick was an impact player?

They can’t score every ####ing game... occasionally you need secondary scoring to win a game.

Give the Canucks credit - they smartly get in the way of many chances.

Agreed with top guys no playing well. Gio is never poor but I wasn’t a huge fan of his game tonight. They generated shots but didn’t have that killer instinct. It seems they don’t simplify when the game requires it.
I thought the PP were trying to score a highlight goal when a greasy goal was needed. Sometimes you have to forgoe style points and just grind it out. The PP coach has got to change up PP2 if not for unproductive play then just to have a different look - make the opponent defend another formation.
PK was great. Jankowski really progressing. It’s good to get a point.

Yeah. Backlund could be on the 3rd line where he belongs but it is what it is and the Flames only have 4 top 6 forwards.

Neal already has more shots on goal this year than Brouwer had in either of his two seasons here.
In fact, Neal's on pace for more shots this year than Brouwer had over his entire time here.

Definitely! Team is in a mild slump right now, but they're still finding ways to get points, which is a good sign.
I thought the Flames were easily the better team tonight for 2/3 periods, but the top line had an off night, which obviously contributed to the loss. Markstrom was really good though and stoned them on a few grade A chances.
Anyway, it Feels like the boys are on the verge of a winning streak coming up here, starting with Monday against the Sharks. Gonna need a full 60 minute effort on that one.

Okay but there are like still 10 other forwards that would have been better picks.
Look at the last play. He pulls stuff like that all the time.

Top line didn't put the team on the back and carry them to a win like every win they got this year?
We need Ken King to call them out on their ####ing horse#### play.

So much salt in this PGT that I don't understand. The flames deserved a better fate, but Vancouver is playing almost the exact style of the Hartley Flames. If you can get up 2 goals and get them to open up, you can probably blow them out of the water. Otherwise they keep it tight as they did tonight and it becomes a dog fight. Get used to this down the stretch. A few other teams that see the Flames as a division leader will play the same tight game and hope for a toss up.
I thought the Flames played well overall (similar to games 1 and 2 of the season), but the first line looked poor outside of the offensive zone tonight. Some others were not fully on their game with pucks bouncing off sticks and over sticks.

Top player on the Canucks scored. Top guys on the Flames snake bit. And Markstrom out dueled Rittich. Flames had the edge in play all night.
