i agree with the point that you should not have to change equipment to deal with an illegal play but that is life. I would like to see what JG actually wears. I looked at some pads online as I have not worn them in decades and they are actually fairly barren below the shoulder cap and above the bicep protection.

I wonder if JG has considered modifying his pads to protect against all of the abuse he takes?

Looking at these lacrosse pads, in particular, the wrist sections, gives an idea of what I am thinking:
