That release by Janko is the reason why he's going to be a top-9 forward on this team... love him on the PK as well.

God Winnipeg is a big team. I was worrying about another Tanner Glass moment with Lucic... like who on our team is going to do well against that pos?

Props to Kylington and Anderson and the whole D core... First time in years there really hasn't been a weak link at defence and that's with Valimaki injured. Also helps when Brodie plays where he's supposed to and the pairings have all been solid.

Pads or no - that kind of slash will sting. I was suggesting that the issue wasn't necessarily hitting JG on bare flesh.

I've actually been slashed pretty much exactly like gaudreau was. Hand went numb, lost almost all grip strength, had the pins and needles tingle for about half hour.

Hurt like a bitch but nothing permanent.

Right below the triceps

Frustrating game to say the least. I felt like we got boned by Rittich who imo stole the game. I'm also not sure why we didn't get a 5 on 3 on the last PP; it appeared the Flames centre played the puck with his hand in the circle which apparently is a penalty? Or so someone claims on HF.

*shrug* take the L and move on. Congrats on the win.

edit: Clarified that you have to close hand on the puck, so that's why no call.

Hathaway has quietly established himself as part of the guts of this team.

He's an emotional constant in the same vein as tkachuk and hamonic.

I've been asked so I'll answer re: Buff

I'm not happy about the slash, he clearly was pissed off and I'm glad Johnny isn't hurt. What else is there to say? I don't think there's anyone condoning the slash on our side of the fence. At most you have people calling out Johnny for embellishing which I think is silly. I am confused as to why he's grabbing his wrist though but doesn't make much difference to me in the end, was a careless slash.

He reminds me of Stephane Yelle from 04. So much grit.

Yeah I've had the same thing. Kind of a strange temporary numbess and tingling like your arm has fallen asleep.

Honestly, yeah, I agree with this.

He's shoveling #### so other guys don't have to. Takes it on the chin every game, no yapping, no diving, just hard minutes.

No it was not a careless slash, it was an intentional vicious slash.

alright, so, clarification on clarification..

rule 76.4

"Both players facing-off are prohibited from batting the puck with their hand in an attempt to win the face-off. Any attempt by either center to win the face-off by batting the puck with their hand shall result in a minor penalty. The two players involved in the actual face-off (the centers) are not permitted to play the puck with their hand without incurring a penalty under this rule until such time as a third player (from either team) has at least touched the puck. Once the face-off is deemed complete (and a winner of the face-off is clear) hand passes shall be enforced as per Rule 79.

So.. pretty bad miss by the ref there I guess. Whatever. It's over.
