Jets are such poor losers. They are good at beating the mediocre and bad teams of the NHL but they can be beat by good teams.

Great teams make their own luck. The Flames won this game on merit of being a great team.

Isn't the humerus covered by pads? What's a stinger?

It was pretty well as dirty as it gets, and I’m glad the penalized him, but I imagine the complaint was that he slashed him before he had shot, so the goal should negate the penalty. I’d actually like to know what the right call was on that.

Posted that at the end of the game thread, but copied it here hoping someone could answer

This was a good measuring stick game for the Jets.

They failed.

I was confused as to why Buff went to the box after the Johnny goal. Don't really care as it had zero impact on the game but usually a penalty is negated if a goal is scored before the whistle.

Either way. Great showing post Xmas break and Rittich was balls to the wall all night. If he can play as efficiently as he has been for a good stretch I'll be excited.

Janko, Lindholm, Brodano and Neal all deserve some props for their play tonight as well. Nice to know we have the Jets number a bit right now. Those are two lopsided scored that'll rot inside their brains for a while.

Also Hathaway is a major thorn in the Jets side. He is against most teams most nights but the Jets seems to let him under their skin the most.

Sorta.

Direct impact/compression of the nerve.

Delayed penalty so the goal wipes it out.

Buff went to the box so the refs could better control the emotion of that moment before it got more heated.

I’m angry.
Colin Campbell lives for cheapshots on undersized players.

He puts it on his cereal.

Rittich played great. Johnny’s second goal was unreal. Only one old guy wanted to fight me! Two points! Good night from MTS!

I'm thinking because the net was empty, if Johnny had missed the net the ref could have still awarded a goal. But because he scored, a penalty still had to be called and hence POS Buff goes to the box.

If Johnny did score with a broken arm it will be the greatest play since Bobby Baun scored with a broken leg.

Still, I think he'll be back Saturday.

As good as Johnny was on that 2nd goal. Lindholms seeing eye pass made that happen. That was as slick as it gets.
