That’s an excellent response from a team a few believe has no business playing in this tournament.

Denmark are like the Russian's kryptonite for some reason.

Last 3 meetings

2017 Russia 4 Denmark 0 (QF)
2016 Russia 4 Denmark 3 (OT) (QF)
2015 Russia 3 Denmark 2 (SO)

good opener for the Russians against Denmark. Wasn't the 14-0 spanking Canada laid down on them but 4-0 isn't bad . Tarasov looks like their #1 as he controlled every rebound he let out. Very Kipper esque IMO.

Why is this tournament in Vancouver again?

Is that what this tournament is going to be reduced to now? A regular rotation between Canada’s 10 largest cities?

If a player knocks the stick out of a goalies hand, is that not goalie interference?

Also, the bolded are the years Canada hosted, 7 out of the last 16 years. With those average attendance figures (per game) I'm surprised they don't get it more often that that.

2018 - 7,040
2017 - 8,596
2016 - 7,174
2015 - 12,212
2014 - 4,654
2013 - 3,554
2012 - 14,688
2011 - 10,635
2010 - 9,740
2009 - 14,622
2008 - 3,328
2007 - 2,048
2006 - 10,488
2005 - 6,234
2004 - 3,760
2003 - 7,812

Oh geez here we go.

Edit, never mind, an early goal that didn’t result in many more as I thought it might.

That was an absolutely horrible call. Don't blame the Swiss for being ticked off, just a dive.

Now 4-on-4 with just over a minute left.
