Flames playoff probability extremely high: TSN article
Along with other Canadian teams.
Quote:
Based on where everyone sits today, the most likely outcome is for four of seven Canadian franchises to reach the postseason. That includes every possible combination of four teams, but the most likely scenario would obviously include Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and one of Montreal or Edmonton

I expect more than simply just playoffs for this group, they're capable of making a stronger push. Another first round exit would qualify as a failure in my eyes.

If this team gets goaltending, they can go deep.
this roster is one of the best the Flames have ever had, period.

Flames are legit excellent team. That's with a line or two not playing to full potential. It's possible they find another gear yet before the season is over.

TSN treats Calgary as an afterthought, and has for the better part of the last 15 years. The Stamps under Hufnagel and Flames under Sutter didn’t suck up to them and their on air personalities, as they expect.
How else do you explain Franklin still being the Calgary correspondent, asking painfully awkward, often benign and most often repeating questions, in post game interviews, for over 10 years now?

It shouldn't bug anyone IMO. TSN isn't a regional network and has to appeal to ratings.
Let's be honest here. There are definitely more Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver... and yes, even Edmonton fans nationally than there are Calgary fans.
Ottawa probably gets more attention than they should just because of their Toronto and Montreal rivalries.

Oilers should be at 10% or lower, the longer the season goes the worse they will get.

Well tonight the Flames lead SportsCenter's NHL coverage, Mike Johnson gave a nice breakdown of the game after the highlites, and they even had a Big Save Dave graphic. They're starting to get attention now becuase they actually deserve to. Honestly, why should TSN have paid much attention to the Flames over the past 10 years? I'd rather the Flames receive little attention from the national media when they don't do anything to deserve it vs. the Oilers who get everyone fawning over their latest draft picks only to embarass themselves over and over again
