The terrible 3rd goal just took all the life out of the team. The Flames are finally starting to get deflated by Smith's poor play - it was only a matter of time and that should be of concern to Peters and Treliving.

A lot of Flames players cutting corners today. Blues got embarrassed last week.

Team overall should have played better, but Smith was awful. He needs to go.

It's a little troubling that the Flames have been flat for at least 3-4 games recently. Including one with the biggest rival they have. They got up for TB but who wouldn't?

Because the Flames have scored only one goal and the skaters look hungover for patting themselves on the back after Tampa?

Bad effort overall tonight. A few sparks in the second period, but otherwise a waste of everyone's time.

certainly not all his fault but...its hard to play when you have to play perfect or you get scored on

Having Neal playing alot of offensive minutes is a scoring liability.
Having Smith play in net is a defensive liability.
Who would you replace Neal with then? Neal has been a perpetual 20 goal scorer and has been getting chances just not finishing so I would still roll with him. He's not Troy Brouwer who has been played like crap for 2 years.

The maddening thing is they still start him at home when he is just disgustingly awful on home ice. He actually has been ok on the road but he just can’t start at home. It’s now getting to a point where it’s ridiculous. This isn’t just a this year problem either, he was garbage at home all of last season.

It seems like you're on his ass every game he plays about something. Even when he's fine.

The Flames didn’t show up.
Poor compete level and below average execution by many top players.
Smith certainly was a reason for the loss, but he was far from being alone.

To be fair, Smith keeps providing material.

Which games are you talking about? Dallas, Edmonton and tonight? Dallas and Edmonton were both 3 in 4, you need to cut them some slack, there record is very good. Tonight was the first bad loss all the way back to November.
