Nearly 2 million sold. And making a profit on every one of them. Compare that with both Sony and Microsoft losing money on each console sold. Sony loses $300 per system.

So in terms of units sold AND profits... Nintendo is hardly 3rd.

My guess is that if you actually played the latest Zelda game you may very well change your opinion. Also, there are quite a few Wii games that are huge fun when you play with friends. Wiisports, Rabbits, Monkey Ball are all a blast to play.

I've never understood this fanboy attitude. I own products by the big three and enjoy them all for different reasons. I will be picking up a 360 up at some point to go along with the Wii. That's the best of both worlds I think.

To say that Nintendo is #3 at this point would be completely wrong as others have pointed out. In fact, Nintendo is probably the only manufacturer actually turning a profit on their console. They're doing extremely well.
