Funny how they had to resort to this to try to remain relevant.
10 years of promises about "high powered offence" hockey, and this is what they have to show.
Grind, grind, grind.

I just have a bad feeling about this and have all day. Like even if we manage to tie it we will get a pile of borderline or ghost calls against us until the Oilers get the win.

Be better? Yes he's a legend and the voice of '04 for me, but he's making the game unenjoyable to watch. Consistently misnaming players and not having a clue or even calling out half of the impactful events as they're happening.
He should be better. Or retire, it's been a great ride.

We've got them right where we want them.
If the Flames play like they can, and usually do during the 3rd, we will win.

Don't worry. I think this is the last time we'll hear him in a Flames game.
If you don't enjoy his voice anymore at least enjoy that I guess

Oil is gonna go into a defensive shell, Johnny is going to get his wind, Monahan and Lindholm will pot one each. Plus one depth scorer.

Some people in this thread need to understand how hard 3 hockey games in 4 nights is. Flames are playing well considering the circumstances, it’s bush league that the NHL made the flames play their most hated rivals on the 3rd game in 4 nights. I’m not even going to mention who the flames are missing because we all know. Game is right there to take still, just gonna need some luck and maybe a ####ing PP refs

EDM has three back always immediately in front of CGY puck carrier. CGY trying to beat 3 guys carrying it but they just need to chip past and get a cycle game going.
Monahan line needs to figure out how to beat that system and be effective, more give and go's against one defender.
Move the puck fast and get them under pressure. One goal game just need to play smart.

Third period flames coming at ya. Tired or not, this team finds it's 6th gear in 3rd periods when losing. #### the grease. #### the refs. Looking forward to McCole scrambling to figure out all the Flames players names that light them up this period. Go flames!

That is fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Trashing his call ability though on his swan song when he is contributed so much to hockey because he is elderly seems trashy though. Maybe he shouldn't be calling games but let's not drag the man through the mud.

I get what Hometown hockey is and what it's trying to do. And it's great for the town that gets to host it.
But it makes for bad sports TV. We have a bunch of NHL games tonight, and instead of highlights and analysis from around the league, we get some feel good border-line sports stories.

Honestly.. down 1-0 playing back to back and missing key players, I am proud of them no matter whar the outcome is! Now, lets score some goals and eff these guys up.
