Flames just making a bunch of small mistakes that compound into a ton of D-zone time.
I'm confident they'll turn it around in the 2nd.

What are we doing?
Lmao. Sleepwalking. But we know this team. When they wake up they'll terrorize these goons.

That’s the worst I’ve seen them play in a long time. And they’re only down by one.

Peluso and Lucic match up pretty good.
Peluso listed at 6'3" 235 lbs
Lucic listed at 6'3" 236 lbs
They both have 1 inch and 15 pounds on me but I'd still drop Lucic ; )

Well that was a period. Good news is we're only down 1 after that slop.
That last minute was pure garbage. Ryan got bumped down off Tkachuk and Bennett line because of the PK I assume. Ryan should be bumped down to 4 though. Of all the slop that was sloppy, his was the sloppiest.
Bennett needs to wake up, he's gonna be sitting in the pressbox soon if he doesn't snap out of it. Gah!

What a horrid period. Flames completed more passes to the oilers than to their own teammates.
Thank God this is the oilers, or the score could be much worse.

Lucky to be down only by one, asleep at the wheel they were for the last half of that period, only the first line sshowed anything remotely looking like flames hockey.

I never saw contact to the head on Hamonic on hit by Lucic. Nor did it look like interference.
Good fight.
Need to be better with puck management...all over the ice. Too many turnovers by Ryan, Bennett, etc.

Sloppy sloppy period, BSD is the only reason it’s a one goal game. He looks great. Good news: 1st period is always Calgary’s worst and they haven’t even come close to playing to their potential. I’m sure Peters will make the appropriate adjustments. 90% of McDavid’s game is speed, slow him down and you’ll neutralize him greatly.

Well that was a terrible period of hockey. So bloody passive! Make a move! Get the puck! Be aggressive!
Neal and Bennett played their worst period of hockey this year just now. Kylington's confidence nowhere to be seen after a great game last night.
The only guy I liked out there was Hathaway. That doesn't bode well if he's our most effective player.

Rittich looks solid! No chance on that broken play that lead to the goal.
