He answered his demotion to the 4th line quite well last night. Immediately after he had a real strong shift in the Preds zone. Couple of good checks, some nice take aways to keep the pressure on, couple of wrap around attempts.
It's not like he flat out sucked but it's like he gets demoted for being in 4th gear instead of 5th gear. Plus, Benny and Chuckles have been a bit flat lately, even with Backs before he got hurt. Time for a little shake up.

It's so hot and cold.
5 games ago against LA was Bennett's 7th highest career minute night, and the most minutes he's played in a game in 2 years.
2 games later and his minutes are basically cut in half in a 9-6 game.

Quinn/Remenda warning - Rick Ball calling the Habs/Hawks right now so tonight will be the Oil crew.
Edit - My mistake apparently Bob Cole has the call tonight.

I decided, in a fit of loss of sanity, to pop over and have a look at the HF Oilers pre-game thread.
Whoa...those folks posting are...a special kind of delusional. I get backing your team, even when they are down, but they seem to honestly believe that they have a hard schedule, that the Flames suck with no depth whatsoever and that they would be first in the league, except for bad reffing.
Wow.

Well then only a blowout win will do.

I feel bad for any Oiler that takes a run at one of our guys. Peluso is one of the few enforcers worth having in the lineup, he’s one of the last of a dying breed. Lucic and Kassian think they can fight but neither know how to. Peluso will kill both. Kassian will be so confused when Peluso throws a body shot followed by a right hand to the temple. I’m praying that Peluso gets to put in work on either.

I wish that I had the will to not watch this game.
Nothing worse than those two useless commentators calling a BoA.

There’s nothing sweeter than the dejected sound of Kevin Quinn losing his erection.

Another big game for the team. The Oil seems to elevate their play against Calgary. With some guys out of the line-up I think the Flames will be just as hungry for the win. 4-2 Flames.
