can't believe i am saying this, but hopefully Calgary is in attack mode all night and forces the Oilers back into playing run and gun...

Attacking with speed and pace is a way to draw the Oilers back into their old habits and piss off Hitchcock. the McOilers will find that hard to resist...while the look on Hitchcock's face will be screaming

really looking forward to the game

Has nothing to do with the Oilers being good, has everything to do with the Flames being fatigued and missing key players for matchups on the road.
All your points are valid, BUT....

But Oiler fans and especially Oiler media is just so incredibly annoying that I want a Flames blowout win.

Hoping the OIlers can get a 2-0 lead into the third and then Lucic and Kassian do something stupid and go after Tkachuk only to get their assess handed to them by Prout and Peluso, which sparks a 5 goal third for the Flames keyed by a natural hat-trick by Tkachuk.

I don't want the Oilers to get any good feelings from this game. Even if they win, I hope it's a moral loss for them.
It's never ok to lose to the Oilers.

Yes, but Oilers fans would be quite wrong about that. They get far more teams on the second of back-to-backs than do the Flames.

Can't wait to see what the speedy chicken brings tonight after getting his first goal last night. Kylling is Norwegian for chicken.

How about this absolutely DISGUSTING piece by the Sportsnet's resident Oiler apologist Mark Spector.

Lot's of complete trash in there about the big bad Tkachuk and the stoic hockey-code abiding Oilers:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/...attle-alberta/

Quote:
Tkachuk plied his very effective trade by leaning on Connor McDavid on a couple of occasions, but then turtling when Zack Kassian came calling.

...

In November that was Tkachuk and Kassian. The Oilers winger was asked on Saturday what to do about a player who gets everyone going, but prefers not to finish what he starts.
Meh I guess the article isn't that bad! But still the OILERS SUCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Peluso, please do not injure Lucic or Kassian tonight, just beat them up is fine. We need to be healthy and stay in Oilers' line up. Thanks in advance.

Lol, what I love about all this is Tkachuk literrally did nothing that requires finishing. If anything McD started the whoke thing. Where are the calls for him to stick up for himself or finish what he starts?

SOME MATHEMATICAL FORMULAS FOR TONIGHT.
Speedy chicken + eat bread = entree of WIN!

Tkachuk (19) + Mangiapane (88) - Quine (89) = The Stanley Cup Line.

E=NG (self-explanatory).

*Note: the "Stanley Cup Line" is not one of tonight's line combinations.. but sure would be cool.

I think Tkachuk will be the player to watch tonight.

Sure, Peluso is a bruiser, but Tkachuk was the real MVP last time the Flames played the Oilers.

He knows how to piss them off. If he scores, it'll rattle the Oilers even more. And they are a team that is easily rattled.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned but...

With a win tonight Calgary will be up 10 pts on Edmonton and have a game in hand!

Seems like a great opportunity to really put those turd-burgers in their place!

We will have played 31 games and they will have played 30. Impossible for us to have a game in hand.

I think the Oilers have a game in hand on us, but point remains.

I wonder if this game will have the same emotion as a Saturday HNIC BOA? Flames showed great resiliency last night. Oilers are playing well lately and will be looking for revenge.

Flames will need to be at their best and limit McDavid.

Ken Hitchcock today:

"I would say playing against us, we would make you nervous now because of the way we play. Not because of our talent. But because of the way we play."

Funny, we kind of navigated our way through some similar hitch style hockey last night. Difference was that team has better overall talent. Just need to stymie the two big points guys and we good.

I do like Koskinen though. Hopefully he has the wherewithal to go UFA this off season and then sign with the good guys.

Oh and Bennett needs to get out of the dog house. He's been punished a couple of games in a row now. Dude seemed to be building some nice confidence and trust with the coaches and it fell off a cliff. Get back at 'er buds!
