The two arguments to defend the positions seem to be:
1. There’s no consistency from the NHL. I agree, sign me up, but doesn’t make Gio innocent.
2. Gio’s knee was a different kind of knee that isn’t a bad knee so doesn’t qualify in the same bucket as previously suspended knees. I guess it’s devatable, but I don’t buy it and this one is making us look like a bunch of homers.
I think the vast majority of those frustrated are upset with the inconsistency, not with the suspension to Giordano. Had Dumba also gotten a couple, there would be a lot less anger here.

Dude, let it go. And watch the video, there was no knee on knee contact. None.

Why are you trying so hard to be a hero?

If you are gonna compare Gio's play with one of Marchments incidents you are straight up trolling and not even worth discussing this with

either that or you have a really bad memory...its not even on the same planet as a Marchment knee on knee

Totally agree with you. Gio is a hard-nosed, but clean player 100%! Marchment sure wasn't.

Funny how none of these guys were up in arms last night about the "dirty play" now that the talking heads and NHL have told them what do think they have to rush over to CP and be contrarian

Well, IMO any attempted knee on knee is as equally as dirty as the next. The only thing going on here is you having a tantrum about a 2 game suspension.

You can blindly try to defend Gio till your blue in the face, you'd still be wrong though. It's only two games. wipe the tears from your face and call it a day.

EDIT: Just like it was poor taste to step up on Backlund by Dumba, Gio sticking his leg out like that intentionally was equally in poor taste.

I could see it going either way. What frustrates me these days though is every time I have an opinion on a goal challenge or a suspension it comes out opposite to what I'm thinking.

I have no problem with the suspension, but I really can't decide how that could be one if the elbow to Hamonic's nose on Sunday isn't, or even that Benn hit on Gaudreau in Montreal not even a penalty.

Just don't get it.

Don't bother...anyone who thinks the play from last night is "equally dirty" as a Marchement knee on knee incident is not worth talking hockey with

I thought Koivu went back to Minnesota? Has there been news that he’s playing tonight?

Perfect example of the frustration I think many have with the process and Gio's suspension.

This blatant and violent knee by Benn on Gaudreau last year was just a 2 minute tripping penalty. Wasn't even looked at by the DOPS.

Looks pretty close to knee on knee.

We should still beat Edmonton, even without our best defensive Dman and Forward.
