Backlund out a while though apparently.........

I want to rip on the guy but Dumba is family of my good friend so I'll just shake my head disappointedly.

Average full recovery from Concussion is 6 weeks. I dunno how Shannon could have a clue what kind of condition backlund is in while still in the quiet room but it's not exactly a hot take.

Peters really has the pulse of the team, doesn't he? Choosing the right goalie, mixing up lines and putting the right combinations together mid-game. Guy just knows the mood and psyche of the team. Very impressed by him.

Wtf is wrong with Gio?!?

Your team is up by 2. The pussification of this league is truly complete if your captain can stand by and watch backs get blindsided with what can only be a message sending hit with 40 seconds left and not drop the gloves.

I don’t care if you don’t punch him but at least grab him by the collar and throw him down and take the ####ing 2 minute penalty.

That was a bull#### play and even stupider for the captain to skate past and do nothing more than say some mean words...

It wasn't interference, blind side hit or charging. It looks like first point of contact was the head, but was it the primary point of contact? It was quite unnecessary with 1 minute left in the game. But was it illegal and suspend-able? I think it is...

1) Is backlund eligible to be hit? Yes - he has the puck

2) Could Dumba have take a different path? Probably not - so not a factor in suspension.

3) Was the hit avoidable? Sort of - to the extent any hit is avoidable. So not enough to warrant suspension on its own

4) Was the hit high? a little, but not enough to warrant a suspension of its own.

5) Was the head the first point of contact? Yes - so maybe 1-2 games of suspension.

6) Was the head the primary point of conduct? The more I watch the hit, the more I think it was...and thats the one that seals it for me. Could be a very lengthy suspension

I think 2-7 games

Filthy hit at the end of a game. The game management of the refs was atrocious tonight. So many garbage calls and missed penalties keeping the Wild in it.

League will really have to slow that down frame to see if the head was hit first. The first time I saw the replay the one angle looked like like Dumba hit the chest first, the 2nd angle looked like the head. In my non professional opinion, Dumba hit chest/head at the same time. Not suspendable. Still didn't like it. But what can you do, dumba stepped up to keep the puck in the zone.

Point of contact is the head, suspension worthy

I don't think Dumba had malicious intent, like you said, making a hockey play but not sure how you see Backs getting hit in the chest at all. He was leaning over and made himself vulnerable but his head was out in front of his body, there was literally no way Dumba could have hit his chest at the same time.
