alrighty, it's been 5 days, time for a new one
I have been traded twice for a first round pick, once it was my draft rights, and once it was myself directly.
The trade that included myself directly was for myself along with a draft pick, who was part of Edmonton's 05/06 run to the finals, for a first round pick. This first round pick was part of the previous Stanley Cup Final.
I also was a former first round pick and I am on my 4th NHL franchise, while playing 500+ NHL games and only 9 NHL playoff games.

I was drafted by a Canadian team
My NHL point totals for both the regular season and playoffs are over 1 ppg
During one of my multiple 60 goal seasons, I lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to one of my future teams.
The last time I played a full 82 game season, was the year that a current NHLer won his first Norris Trophy.

Alright, I'll have a go at making a question.
I was born in Alberta, and I am a former first-round pick.
I had my personal best season while playing for a Candian team, but the team I played for the longest was a different Canadian team. My current team is also Candian, but is neither of the teams already mentioned. I have been traded three times, but I have never been involved in a trade between any of the Canadian teams. I was once traded away by a team only to be traded back 7 seasons later.
I have played over 750 career NHL games and have over 350 points in that span.

I'm thinking it can't be Dean McAmmond, Calgary traded him to Colorado and then got traded back.
However, I don't have the answer.
Edit: Never mind that, You are probably right. Chicago -> Edmonton, 7 seasons later, Edmonton -> Chicago
I misunderstood the hints at first.

Yup, Dean McAmmond is the right answer. Good job, Ben. Sorry for the late reply haven't been around the past couple days.
Born in Grand Cache, AB. Drafted 1st round, 22nd overall by the Blackhawks.
Personal best season was playing for Calgary with 51 pts.
Played the longest with the Edmonton Oilers (6 seasons).
Currently plays for Ottawa
The three trades are from the Blackhawks to the Oilers. From the Oilers to the Blackhawks. And from Calgary to Colorado.
The team he was traded back to was the Blackhawks (from the Oilers) as mentioned above.
He has played 754 NHL games and has 154G, 219A, and 373 points.

Yes, you're right. I thought initially he was signed as a free agent when he came back to Calgary. But I just googled it and he was acquired at the trade deadline for a 5th round draft pick. I assumed since he didn't play until the start of the next season, it was a free agent signing, but the reason was because the Flames broke a rule in the CBA by reacquiring him. Instead of reversing the trade the NHL just barred him from playing the remainder of Calgary's season. My mistake, sorry if it screwed up your answer.
