I thought the protagonist was the little girl who's head spun around and had projectile vomit.
I'd want her on the Flames before Wilson.

Yeah who’d want a PPG player who also is able to play a physical game and protect your stars. What a loser amirite?

At least that's what I remember, school was a long time ago though.

It depends on the POV. Protagonist is the main character, the antagonist is a person or force against the main character. Pablo Escobar is the protagonist in his story, and the DEA is the antagonist. Tom Wilson is the main character his his mind, and the whole world is against him.

Hit was delivered clean (Blindside is allowed...they went down that road and found it didn't work. It's not a rule). The head was not targeted (unlike the hits Wilson loves to deliver). Hit was, however, late and deserved the penalty it got. No supplemental discipline is the correct call.
In all honesty if that happened 6 months ago in the final I'm not even sure the penalty gets called. And really doubt a 5 minute major gets called if it does get called. That's not right but it is what it is.
I think the refs on the ice and the league made the correct decisions.

Well, not historically a PPG player. More like a .25 - .3 PPG player. And there is that problem of being suspended frequently. And the fact he is the most penalized player in the league since 2013.

Can't argue that he played on the top line of the most recent cup champs though. 15 points in 21 games in the playoffs too. He's a better player than people will be willing to give him credit for.

He's not bad, though hardly the first guy to play a top line role without top line skill. I still think his penalties will hurt them in the long run, especially now with his rep. He's not going to get the benefit of the doubt on calls (his last match penalty being an example).

Yeah, that is a fair point. I would be interested in seeing his penalty breakdown. My guess would be that a large amount of his PIM's come from 10 minute misconducts and fighting majors.
I do think he is more skilled than people realize though. I doubt he finishes the season a point per game, but I think he can be a 50 point guy while creating space for Kuznetsov and Ovechkin.
All in all he was a big contributor on their cup winning team so I'm sure they are pleased regardless.

Ask and ye shall receive:
As of the start of the 2018-19 season, no player in the NHL has been penalized more since Wilson entered the league in 2013. Of his 255 penalties (regular-season only) during that span, roughly 20 percent have been majors (58). They add up to 806 minutes, including 11 misconducts and a match penalty. Only two other players (Antoine Roussel and Cody McLeod at 707) have more than 600 penalty minutes. Again, these figures don't even include his postseason misbehavior.
In sum, Wilson has been suspended four times in his career (all within a 105-game span, including preseason) and fined once.

Ryan Reaves is profiting off Tom Wilson’s injury with signed photos
https://russianmachineneverbreaks.co...signed-photos/
Quote:
Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves was ejected Tuesday night for a late, blindside hit that injured Tom Wilson. The hit was bad, but somehow, Reaves found a way to make the situation worse.
In a private signing for Inscriptagraphs, Reaves autographed photos of Wilson laying on the ice injured with the caption “He ran into a Lion in the Jungle.”
Wilson is out with an upper-body injury — likely a concussion.
Inscriptagraphs is a retailer based in Las Vegas that sells sports and entertainment memorabilia. All authenticated sales are witnessed autographs in the presence of a company member.
The Reaves signed photo is listed as being signed on December 6 at a private signing in Vegas.

That's pretty scummy.
However, I'd love an autographed pic of Engelland punching two Canucks.
This ain't a bad pic:

If I recall from an interview with Reaves the two have a friendly and sometimes not so friendly rivalry. I doubt Wilson is in his safe space right now asking to be saved cause big bad Reaves signed a photo mocking him. You shell out big hits and sometimes you get hit big.
Wilson needs to play with more awareness but I’d take both guys on the Flames every day of the week. If Wilson was here he’d be a fan favorite so it’s often funny how other teams players of the same ilk are often vilified for their hits and actions yet our guys are given a much lighter judgement. Wilson is likely a guy who knows if he’s not laying big hits and creating room for Ovechkin he doesn’t have a job.
He’s young and hopefully he figures out fast before he’s ran out of the league what he can and cannot get away with in an NHL game.

No, not to be celebrated. But Wilson got a taste of his own medicine. And his head wasn't targeted which is more than you can say about Wilson's history of bad hits.

Yes and no. I think a lot of people are happy (understatement of the year) to have Tkachuk on our team, but a good majority of us on Calgarypuck were disappointed in his play-style leading to two suspensions. There is a fine line between a hard-hitting agitating player and a dangerous or reckless player.
It's a good thing suspensions are there to deter this type of behavior, and allow a player time to reflect and correct their current behavior.

In both hits, Wilson seemed to be not looking at all where he was going. 2nd hit was definitely very late.
It amazes me that Wilson was not looking out more though. He knows he has a price on his head and Reaves has been going after him all game.
