However you’d prefer to look at it
When did either of those players cost the Flames a homegrown prospect they could no longer afford as a result?

Flames are 7-1-1 in their last 9 and are leading the division...

Some fans: who am I least happy about? Yes, I'll bitch about him!

Remember when Hamonic joined the team last year and struggled to find his game with the Flames? Some people freaked out about that too.

Now you're freaking out about a guy who, while he hasn't got his scoring groove on yet, has been playing pretty well and contributing in other ways.

His presence is not going to deter the Flames from re-signing Tkachuk. SO chill your #### and give it a rest.
I think using Hamilton as an analog is an inspired move on your part. Yes I can only hope Neal is as successful as Hamilton was...what planet am I on?

Actually, what I remember is the same arguments being made about Troy Brouwer. Were you one of those?

Let that sink in for a moment...
This post did not age well, Roussel has 50 percent more points than Neal.

The Flames can be a good team and Neal can be a terrible hockey player. Both things can exist at the same time. In fact we are seeing both things taking place at the same time right now.

The race I am watching is Neal v. Lucic. Real Deal has a one point lead right now. This race will be a dogfight all season.

But why does that interest you? Doesn’t sound like a fun way to spend time being a fan, trying so hard to be ‘right’ that you are rooting against a Flame. Are you jealous he makes as much as he does? He isn’t negatively impacting the team, in any way, so what’s the problem?

I get that being a Flames fan is often an exercise in futility, but the team is performing well despite Neals struggles.

I do believe there are some fans who would rather fret about the team than enjoy the run we're currently on. This team is exciting! Enjoy it folks.

Who cares? What does throwing a fit about Neal 30 games into the first season do for you? For anyone?

What’s the point of your rant? That you’re scared about the future? Get over it man, the Flames are playing well, and until the Neal contract becomes a problem it isn’t one. And no amount of hand wringing is going to change that.

No, but if you do enough hand-wringing, you can be first in line to say ‘I told you so’ in case the thing you were afraid of ever happens.

‘Conan, what is best in life?’

‘To bitch about everything, drive your friends away from you, and hear the lamentations of your echoes.’

‘Ehh, close enough for a sports fan.’

I think he is a terrible fit for the Flames.

I think he reduces our ability to have cap space for a genuine run this campaign.

I think he will cause the Flames to sacrifice good assets to be able to sign chucky next season.

I think he is a similar player to Troy Brouwer and we should never signed him.

So, why are we all here again? To only say positive things? Have the Flanes hired a bunch of Russian operatives to only say nice things about the team on message boards similar to Trump 2016?

Everything is awesome....is that better?

Just really odd youd focus on negatives when there are so many positives right now. Its like you look for things to complain about. Fans like you are really weird.

Thanks, you can get back to writing “I heart JN” in your diary now, I promise to not say anything negative about him for the rest of the day.

When you’re first in your division, usually yeah, people talk about positive things.

All you’ve done since he was signed is post exclusively negative things about James Neal, you don’t even participate in the rest of the forum.
