The Flames got 8 unanswered goals. Columbus did interrupt them once or twice, but not for long enough to count as an answer.

Not really touched on in this thread, but Rittich looked terrible on all goals. 1st one for having no idea where the rebound went. He knew he didn’t have it but had no idea where it was. That was a bad sign.

Inexcusable lazy pass from Backlund on second after Hamonic did all that work on his knees. But Rittich had time to set and got beaten clean.

Third goal was the shredded confidence from the first two shining through. Puck goes right through him from distance with no screen.

Smith only bad goal was the first..overplaying the puck and too quick to go down. Second was a breakaway and third was a great tip out front.

The clip of Smith pulling Rittich aside post game was encouraging but Rittich has to bounce back mentally or Peters may not even give him a period next time a goal goes in like the first tonight.

Well that was....neurotic fun!

Was pretty bummed after the goal at the end of the first, and even more bummed after the first goal in the second. Thought for a moment I'd just turn the game off. Cat and dog intervened.

Good thing!

Unreal. They looked terrible for the first 21 minutes and then, well it was basically next save wins.

Can't wait to be double digits up on the oilers with not even 30 games played.

Had to leave for the third period, but listened on the radio still. That game was such a thrill. Yes it started badly, but the team got to work and put together in insane final two periods. The Pacific division should easily be ours.

Torts press conference was pretty calm.

“At 8-6, I still think we have a really good chance. And they score the 9th one and that takes the wind out of our sails. Yeah. Imagine me saying that”

Was hoping for more salt.

- didn't like Prout, Hathaway or Ryan's games tonight
- Bennett does everything right accept when it comes to offense, it's frustrating but I hope he figures it out
- Neal doesn't look like he's gonna score again

Who comes out if Frolik is good to go next game? Czarnik scored, Mangiapane looked good.. Maybe Hathaway?

I have this silly thing where I do 20 push-ups every time the flames score.

I gave up tonight after 140.

Crazy game.

Brodie has 34 pluses on the season, and only 15 minuses.

Not tonight he didn't. He was in Peters doghouse early and rightfully so. He was disengaged from puck drop. He has earned a bad night though, so i expect he comes back strong.

Flames score 9 and Neal gets 0 points. That's just sad. Even Mike Smith got a point...

That’s not sad.

That’s impressive.

Why focus on a negative? Just be happy that we have the depth we do! That depth has us at the top of dang division!
