Now, that was not a good goal.
The Flames as a whole were not good in that period. They were outworked by a more determined Blue Jackets squad.
But that period continues a trend towards bad defensive zone play that begun last game or earlier. They need to tighten up.
In general, I think they were absolutely dominant for a number of games after Pittsburgh and then they won easily a few times and I think it allowed some bad habits into their game. Since those huge wins, I think their games has gone steadily downhill.
They need to regroup.

Don't agree.
Flames scored 0 goals in his first loss and Dallas can pump them in, at times.
Was all for starting and running with Smith when many here weren't, but that's just because he was winning, the the Flames need him.
This is the first game Rittich has looked bad in a long time. That hapoens

This is just a continuation of the poor play the last 2 games. They could have lost either of the last 2 games. Big second period comming up here to turn this poor play around.

Who Ryan? I'm not a fan but he has been better of late. Is it good enough to warrant the 2nd PP time? Probably not but this isn't Brouwer bad. Yet.

CBJ just too quick tonight. Curious to see if the Flames have an answer.

Hope you guys are right. I'm concerned with the shots that are beating him. But he certainly has earned the benefit of the doubt

CLB alos know where Bob wants them when they collapse, little to no wiggle room for secondary chances so far tonight.
I'll say it again, Lindholm needs to engage in tonights game. First time he's been invisible to me all season. Again though, no shame in losing to these guys.

columbus isn't giving the flames any space and time at all. they're just as fast and talented as the flames if not more so and haven't been nearly as sloppy. flames transition game looked disjointed

Flames have been pretty good at responding after a bad period this season. Hopefully that trend continues in the 2nd. They need to come out flying.

A guy starting off a season well but slipping uncontrollably as time is spent with Jordan Sigalet?

That’s not struggling.
Goals do get scored, you know.
Goal 1, he had Gio and the Jacket jostling in front. If there is a rebound to lose, it’s one on a shot you don’t see
|
He saw the puck on goal one. He thought he still had it and didn't even know there was a rebound.

Thepucks all seem like they are bouncing towards the Jackets and away from the Flames. I'm sure its effort and rink knowledge but also some luck so far.

I disagree with all this Ryan-is-the-worst talk. Ryan has had a number of good games recently. He had a bad period. But it’s not time to give up on him.

Kinda, we had a pretty awful game defensively against Chicago.
They outchanced us 11-10 I believe despite us controlling the shot clock. 5 breakaways against I think? Smith won us that game.
