I hope you donate 5 times that so that some lucky fan can win 20,000 times that!

Career wise he averages roughly 1 goal every 3 games therefore a 5 goal night would inch him closer to that for the season!

I guess no as a 5 goal game doesn't count as a hat trick or does it?

Big 4-2 birthday win for me! The answer to life, the universe and everything.

Smith continues his getting slightly better every game trajectory. Jankowski get another goal. I'll say Neal gets on during one of those post PP shifts where he gets on with Johnny and Money. One PP goal. And Hanifin pots another.

Go Flames!

I'm not opposed to his start, but that hasn't exactly been his trajectory. He followed a decent game versus SJ with a horrible one against Montreal, followed by a good one versus AZ.

He needs to put two good games together. The added rest and lack of pressure might be good for him.

Compared to October I guess I mean. He just seems slightly more confident. I feel like part of the impossibility of judging goalies is that goals allowed are so dependant on so many factors. To me, earlier in the season he was playing so deep in his net, and frantically flailing at every puck he looked lost. But he seems slightly more confident to me now.

My grandma's 90th birthday today! Flames win 9-0 because she's the queen and the Kings are jokers.

It'll be very disappointing if Flames don't win this game. Gotta start winning games often against division opponents to truly secure not just getting home ice advantage seeding in the first round of the playoffs, but actually getting in to the playoffs. Kings are a weak opponent, so have to take advantage.

This is the type of game a good team finds a way to win.

Agreed. Even if Smith lets in 1 or 2 weak goals, they need to find a way to scrape out a win. That's what good teams do, especially against bad teams.

Exactly. This is the worst team on the division, of course you start your backup because even if he lets in 3 there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get more than that

Patrick O'Neal @Patrick_ONeal
Willie Desjardins tells me Ilya Kovalchuk will be out of lineup with a bad ankle tonight in Calgary.

Are we sure it isn't a bruised ego?
