And you can't get worse timing for the Rhodes injuries with @NE, @SEA next two weeks. Obviously that will be the Vikings season.

Packers have the same record as the Browns. If not for the week one miracle and the Vikings blowing the tie game, the Packers would currently be picking fourth overall. Which, to be fair, is probably what their fans wished had happened in this lost season.

Seattle in a good spot. Wilson made some strong plays when it mattered and defense and run game were there again today.

All except one SF game at home.

Can’t afford a let down against the 9ers or Cardinals. Chiefs win would be nice to have but non conference, so really comes down to the Vikings as maybe the winner gets the WC, who themselves have a tough schedule otherwise.

Seahawks and Vikings should claim the two wild card spots. Really the NFC has two great teams in the Saints and Rams. A really good one in the Bears and the rest are not much better than mediocre. If you go 9-7 you'll make it. Carolina have two more games against New Orleans...they are losing 7 games.

Even average Rodgers doesnt miss that TD throw at the end there. He was brilliant at NE but that about it this year.

Mayfield gave Jackson a chilly a reception when he sought him out on the field after the game, rebuffing his hug and only briefly shaking his hand.

"He said ‘good job, good game,''' Mayfield said. "It was brief. I didn’t feel like talking.''
Why not?

"I don’t know,'' he said. "Left Cleveland, goes down to Cincinnati, I don’t know. It’s just somebody that was in our locker room, asking for us to play for him and then goes to a different team we play twice a year. Everybody can have their spin on it but that’s how I feel.''

Quote:
In his last three games under interim coach Gregg Williams and offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens -- albeit against three bad defenses -- Mayfield has completed 65-of-88 attempts (73.8%) for 771 yards with 9 TDs and 1 interception for a 129.5 rating. He’s gone 2-1 in that span.

Maybe Mayfield should be annoyed that they let Hue even start the season in Cleveland. If they start with any other coach on the planet, they likley are sitting at 7-4 right now, and right there with the vaunted Steelers for the Division.

If Jimmy Haslam stays out of the way Glen Dorsey will put enough talent on that roster for them to be a playoff team. The talent is there today, just a matter of the coaching not screwing it up now, or the owner appointing another nut job coach.

It was not a good thing to say. It is a comment used sometimes by authority figures who feel they are losing their grip of control (business management, teachers etc.).

I am still shocked people are content labelling someone as a noted racist based on something like that. I think that’s very telling.

With the Titans set to play in Houston today I have a question for yall: Who has the rights to the Houston Oilers history. We all know the Oilers left Houston to play in Nashville and became the Titans but last year DeShaun Watson arrived to a game wearing a Warren Moon jersey. While Moon played his entire career in Houston, his records and stats belong to the Oilers/Titans franchise. IMO Moon is as part of the Titans franchise as McNair, Watson might as well as arrived wearing a Mariota jersey. It doesn't mean anything but I always thought it was strange.

Well the Titans certainly “own” the Oilers history but I don’t think it means anything to Tennessee fans. The Oilers played in Houston and fans in Houston remember the luv ya blue era very fondly.

There is a giant difference in Watson wearing a Moon jersey vs. Mariotta.

Would people in Winnipeg be livid if Patrick Laine showed up to a game wearing a Selanne jersey? I can't imagine they would be in fact I think they'd be ecstatic about it and think it was pretty cool. To the fans the player played in that city, not where the current franchise is.

I doubt any Titans fan associates with Earl Campbell or Warren Moon the way former Houston Oiler fans would. Even if franchise records are still held by those players. It's not like a Texans player showed up wearing an Eddie George jersey.

It's like when the Coyotes call in Dale Hawerchuck...people in Phoenix never saw him play...they identify with Shane Doan a lot more even though he's nowhere the player Hawerchuck was.

George did play a season in Houston, but yeah he is identified more with Tennessee.

The other thing with Moon is that he was somewhat of a trailblazer for black quarterbacks so I think Watson thinks of him in that regard too.

In the same breath, I think you can make a case for them to have 6-7 wins just as easily. Mathews penalty that extended that Vikings tie, Crosby missing 5 field goals against Detroit, Montgomery Fumble against Rams, Jones fumble against NE etc.

Don't get me wrong i'm not advocating they are a 7 win team. They are what they are, just I think it's a really fine line. But I also agree that at this point the Packers could sure use a top 10 pick. That being said, I do think the pieces here better than how they are actually playing.

Not to mention the difference in opponents thus far...IIRC GB had the toughest SOS to this point, and now it becomes the easiest the rest of the way.

Stop trying to run the ball! Lewis blows, use Henry, better yet, Mariota should run it himself. Being a Titans fan sucks

Would be nice if they could protect Mariota, he has no time back there, meanwhile Watson could do his Christmas shopping he has so much time.
