Maybe their online warehouse is out. Sucks though, easy christmas gift
Sales seem pretty terrible this year though, haven't found a single thing that interests me

Is it just me or did online Black Friday suck this year? I got a couple of toys for 20-25% off for the grand kids but had to venture out for them. Amazon was terrible this year.

Bought exactly zero things this time. Bizarre that they didn't have a great selection,

Maybe cyber Monday will be better for Amazon?
I ordered some stuff online from Lucky Brand (everything 50% off) for my daughter, Stadium Goods (15% off) for my son and Tommy Bahama for me. Not a bad day.

In general I think black Friday/cyber Monday/boxing day have lost much of their effect as online shopping has reached critical mass. As online retailers (amazon) have gotten more efficient there just isn't much need or benefit to having a specific sale.
The algorithms adjust prices up/down every day to react to different supply levels and such, so it's not as if retailers need to put the man hours into clearing things out at a certain time of year anymore. It's more of a annual marketing campaign then a genuine sales event these days.

Sunrise was the best place to get movies this year. Way better than Walmart and Best Buy and even Amazon.

Certain things are definitely cheaper on Black Friday. Clothing labels that are 50% off for example. The question is are you buying stuff you wouldn’t otherwise.
You can’t deny the volume of merch that gets moved this time of year.

I agree that in a lot of places (Amazon especially) prices weren’t very good. But it’s totally part of the culture.
It takes a few days for me to get final sales data, but my in-store e-commerce system for Sport Chek generated $1.4M in goal completions.
That’s bananas.

I got a good deal on a Samsung S9. Wasn't really looking to upgrade as I just got a new phone last year. But as I was walking out of Superstore the mobile guy talked to me and voila, here I am with a new phone! Great deal too.
Got the $50 instant pot deal online for my parents
Other than that I couldn't find anything worth while to get

Oh yeah I don’t deny the volume of purchases being high on Black Friday at all. But I just don’t think many of the sales are really a “once a year only” kind of deal. I’m trying to remember the last time I bought a non-niche item that wasn’t on sale at all.
Heck I think it’s damn impossible to pay full price any day of the year at the gap/old navy/banana republic.

There were 1TB Xbox Ones on sale for $99 US on ebay early friday morning. Decided to wait to check out deals for a couple other items I was looking for and come back later and snag one if I didn't go for the other things. I didn't and of course they were out of stock when I came back. Damn it to hell.

No, that's the 6 qt.
The one for $95 on amazon is an 8 qt.

Picked up a Roomba 960. It's only day 2, but it has changed my life already.
Also my CP adds have been exclusively vacuum cleaners for the last 2 weeks.

I'd love to see a comparison of that to, say, a month ago, and against Boxing Day.

That’s a good point. Most of these places have sales throughout the year but in this case, all the sales are at one time. To me it’s kind of the logical time to buy Christmas gifts.
