All the penalties were black and white. They were totally unlucky for the Flames, but they were clear penalties.

Ummm, that's a huge chest protector on Rittich. Saw him after hours the other day and he's skinny.

Had to weather a bit of a storm in the second but lets face it, the Flames were just teasing the Jets. They never had a chance.

Me too. Now Neal is a different story. He has to get going...not looking good at this point.

4 of those flames minors there was nothing refs could do. Delay is stupid but it’s a penalty. Bennett’s was a trip, really unfortunate but still and same with dubes high stick

Wondering if the OP can indicate the post number for Gaskal's ATL report from now on.
In deference to all of the other posters, it's the main reason I come to the PGT.

Also, I can only guess at the time it takes to prepare the ATL. Hat's off to Gaskal for all the effort. I suspect it might be very cumbersome to get to, especially after watching the game live... probably loses sleep compiling these for us.

I think the "issue" is the Jets didn't play a perfect game...they didn't get a penalty because the Flames had a huge lead

Is not the Flames penalties, it's the lack of Jets penalties.

I'm not dissing Laine because he's obviously one of the elite snipers in the league, but was I the only one who didn't really notice him outside the Jets powerplays? I guess if he's quiet and he still notches 2 goals who cares, really, but I thought he would be more noticeable.

Exactly, it's almost never about the calls made, but the calls not made.

There were two teams on the ice. Yes, the Flames had a couple that were black and white, but the Jets got away with calls that should have been made. Not calling a penalty can be just as effective to dictating the flow as the ones that are called.

Sole possession of first place in the Division on US Thanksgiving since ... I don't know ... I looked back to 2003 and gave up.

They shared first in the NW with the Canucks on US Thanksgiving in 2005, which was also the last year the Flames won their Division in the regular season.
