the best part is, if he keeps playing the way he's playing, the points will come, as they have been recently. this is the most consistent and high quality regular season stretch he's played for the flames. hope he continues to blossom

Funny they say that, while Bennett has four points in the four games he's spent in the top six. Maybe it's the fact that he's in a scoring role (which the Backlund line is, despite it being a shutdown line) that's causing him to play with confidence.

They're most likely ****ting their pants now that the Oilers hired the #3 winningest coach and can solve the Oilers structure problems whereas their prized hire has never finished higher than 6th in his division as a NHL coach. The annual Calgary collapse is coming. They've had a kitten soft schedule so far and they're still losing to the better teams in the league and barely beating the teams below them.
Tonight will speak volumes to where they are at. I'm predicting a 5-3 Jets win.

I've thought this all year. The team plays differently in front of Rittich. Hopefully Rittich gets next start against Vegas and then they give Smith a game against the Coyotes. That makes sense for him. Then right back to Rittich.

Only way to know for sure is to play him with Hathaway and Peluso for a few weeks. Get it done, GG!
Oh, wait...

4 goals and 4 assists in 21 games and a bit for Benny now.
31 point pace. Getting better.

In what has been described as a team bonding session, peters made a trip to one of the local Marijuana dispensaries to take some jazz cabbage into the locker room for a group meeting. He has been reported as having said to the boys "guys.. guys, the first period is just like a young third period if you really think about it." reports that his eyes were as red as the devils dick have not been confirmed as of yet.

Man what a ridiculous post. Kitten soft schedule? Sorry, have the Oilers been playing Nashville for 20 games in a row now or something? Simply delusional.

Funny thing Oiler fans thinking Hitch is the saving grace. He's a great short term coach. Teams tend to tune him out after 2-3 years. So, have fun getting yet another head coach in the not too distant future.

Hey, now that we're scoring so many goals at the start of games, does this mean we're our 1st periods are better than our 3rd periods?
