The difference between Czarnik and Dube is not that big. From an asset management perspective, they should just send Dube down for more reps and also give Czarnik a long look as a regular.

While his 5 on 5 play hasn't been all that great, I feel like Czarnik has been better on the second unit PP than Backlund, Ryan, Bennett and Neal.

Flames need to manage this asset and at least see what they have. As great as the top 4 forwards are playing, this team won't be a true contender until they get some serious secondary scoring and that's what Czarnik was signed for. They have to give him a longer rope.

I agree, but I would take out the forward who has looked the most out of place the last while. The last two games I've watched, Dube has looked almost shell shocked to me. Obviously a bi-product of the injuries but no harm in sending him down for a few weeks to regain the form we all saw earlier in the year.

It would be a miracle if he doesn't have another rough ride tonight against a very heavy Jets team and Czarnik offers a lot more to a second unit PP as you say.

Lou on 960 noted that Frolik left practice early. No word if he's ill, injured, or something not worth worrying about at all. Figures it will take a lot to bump Frolik out of the lineup but worth keeping an eye on

I think it will be the opposite. Bennett is slowly but surely finding his niche and embracing his role as an energy/gritty player who's not going to back down from anybody. I think the Jets are a great test for him.

He might not score, but I think he'll still have a great game

The game is on Sportsnet, but not the Pacific Channel.
SN360 will also show the game after the Sens-Wild game is done.

He'll definitely have a strong game given how the Jets like to play. He does need to find a way to hit the score sheet a little more than he has to be a true second line player on this team though. Even a 15G, 20A Bennett would be a hell of an asset to the roster if his current style of play continues.

Looking forward to:

- Another strong game from BSD
- Continued top line scoring prowess
- Bennett laying another beating on Trouba
- Third line getting rewarded on the scoresheet (hope Frolik is in)

Flames win 4-2 (Monahan, Backlund, Neal, Lindholm-EN)

I don't care abut the outcome of this game...well I would prefer a win of course.

I just want the Flames to play a good consistent game. Playing against the Jets should give us a pretty good picture about which rung of the ladder we stand.

I think people greatly over-rate individual games.

Maybe the Flames play well and the Jets don't Maybe the Jets do and the Flames don't. Maybe one team gets all the bounces.

Literally anything can happen in a single game. That's why there are 82 games ina season.

We have played well against - and beaten - the best team in the league. And we have looked like crap against the Nucks, the Pens and the Habs.

It's just another game.

I wanna see Bennett throw another beatdown on the same Jet as last year. I think people are slowly taking note that even if he isn't scoring he's hitting , fighting and dragging his teammates into games which was primarily Tkachuk's doing but I love that we now have a few players playing like Bennett.

I want a win over the Jets badly. I like the way Maurice has them playing but I think we have everything to handle them.
Go Flames Go....just win.

I agree.

If Rittich loses this one we're back to wondering about goalies.
