Love this line-up. Only change I would make is to substitute Czarnik for Hathaway.

Against the Jets I don't mind a bigger body on the fourth line.

National broadcast for Sportsnet. East games at 5pm MT then the west games at 8pm MT. Usually the case for Wednesday home games.

To be honest, Hathaway has been playing reasonably well lately. I would put Czarnik in for Dube as based on last game I don't think he's ready for what the Jets will be bringing tonight.

Good points. I'd also be fine with that. I agree that Hathaway has been playing well. My slight preference for Czarnik was/is based on his contributions to the second PP unit.

I'm fine with Hathway ... especially if the trade off is Czarnik who I just never really notice good or bad when he plays.

Hathaway is difficult to play against. He doesn't wow you in any way and he's the weakest forward but he can alter games with his edge.

I just wish I knew when the magic cut off was for games for a goaltender when you can just like the guy as a starter as opposed to worry about the glass slipper and the carriage disappearing.

I’d have Czarnik in for Dube personally.

I'm right beside you in the boat. Made a big trade to pick up BSD. Hoping beyond hope that this is something to get excited about, as opposed to a flash in the pan.

The comparable I went with when I rationalized it to myself was the Hellebuyck situation last year with Mason. About this time last year, Hellebuyck took the reins and never looked back, en route to an excellent season. I'm not expecting him to maintain a 1.9 GAA and .930 SVP for the whole year, but if he goes for a few more weeks with playing consistently, I will start to believe its a real thing.

Flames come back to earth but keep their work boots on. Down 2-1 after the second Flames win a hard fought 3-2 game.

Bennett gets two.

How many games in a row did Johnson play / win when he caught fire in 2016?

For Rittich, a few more than that.

This is getting ridiculous.. they need to play Czarnik!

The kid probably is regretting choosing this team when he could have gone to one of 20+ teams. Not sure if he pissed in Peters cereal... he isn't any worse than Dube or Hathaway.

As for Hathaway.. he should only be in the line-up once in a while. Come in, hit everything he sees and then go rest for the next few games.

I agree, with the speed and heaviness of the Jets' team, I would take Dube out to avoid another concussion so close on the heels of the previous one. Czarnik's speed could make him an asset similar to Dube without the concussion concern.

Just to change things up, I'm going to predict a terrible game for Bennett, with no shots, no hits, 2 offensive zone penalties and a -3. What the heck, nothing else seems to have help his absolutely horrible puck luck, with the exception of the one that bounced in off him last game.

They'll demote Dube in a few days and Czarnik will take his spot in the lineup. Peluso will get a call up and sit. You'll see.
