I think the Flames should give Rittich some rope and let him play the next 4 games or so before giving Smith another start. This way Smith can step away mentally and spend a significant amount of time practicing and we can see what Rittich does with that increased responsibility.

Randorf was brutal. I think one time he called the wrong player.

Loved that story today and I think it sums up the third period.

The worst part about the Edmonton ATL is that we don't get the closing Edmonton section like we do with other games

I don't understand how they can even listen to them. It's all so cringe worthy and I couldn't even listen without sympathy.

Idk how we won. Any win is a good win against the Oilers.

Easy to answer as soon as Calgary found their game the Oil were totally out classed. And Rittich.

Calgary handed the Oilers almost all their chances...its not like Edmonton had a dominant two periods because of anything they did

That's sort of my point about the first period. The Flames would spend a lengthy period of time in the offensive zone, but then make one silly play and it would go down the ice odd man. So I felt that their overall play was good, they just made some bad errors (especially Gio).
