After watching this last run of games, I'm now of the opinion we should blow up the core. It doesn't matter who is around them, we see the same product every year thinking something will change. You can change coaches all you want, it isn't gonna make a difference. Get some new players/draft picks in some trades. Otherwise, it won't change

Bennett got a 2 min minor at the same time as Kassian (from 6 pp mins to 4). Backlund got a double-minor for high sticking, hence no more pp.

I'm surprised at how negative it is around here. I haven't participated in a GT in a while though. It's been a good game and both goals, Rittich had no chance on. Neither team has really had many opportunities or offensive pressure but it's been physical and while Lucic is largely useless, he's been good tonight. 2-0 is not an insurmountable deficit for these Flames.

Flames definitely look hesitant now about getting hit. Makes passes not crisp, players in wrong positions as a result... it snowballs.
