Not saying Rittich is the next Kipper, but could you imagine if Flames kept benching Kipper while Turek was playing like garbage?

Yeah some finish. This team has looked sometimes unstoppable offensively, at least as far as generating chances and zone play with aggressive forechecking and active defenseman pinching. Smith doesn’t let that third goal in, its still in ot which is a travesty. And this isn’t the first game where the Flames look dominant yet still can’t score more then a couple goals after looking so good. Staying in front of the net longer, taking a hit to maybe get that stick on the puck or have it go off their skate.
And Price gifted them the second goal and didn’t look so hot on the first one, screen or not and looked very vulnerable mentally (which he has had an issue big time the last few weeks) in the second. Flames got lots of shots from the outside.

Dear Brad, the NHL is moving away from bigger goalies with large equipment, like Smith, toward quicker, more agile goalies like Rittich. Please take this into consideration, and stop evaluating guys on what they did five years ago when you inevitably go shopping for a new goalie.

He sucks, he really, really sucks. They can’t play Smith again on Saturday, can they? If they do, I won’t watch, it’ll be embarrassing.
Too much rope for Smith. He can’t do it anymore. It’s over, stop starting him. Make a trade, I don’t care if it costs good prospects and a 1st rounder, we need a #1 goalie. Or at least a better 1b then Smith.
That was the hardest game to watch so far this year. Go away Smith, go away.

I’m glad Backs took that penalty too. Drouin skated right by our bench and chirped after his goal. You just don’t do that, so I’m glad Backs let him eat his stick even if it was in his own bench. Also how punchable if a face does Domi have?

That injury was definitely the beginnng if the end for his NHL career. So frustrating that it took place on a nothing meaningless play.
Anyone able to calculate his overall GAA and SV% since he returned from injury last year? I think there is enough sample size to conclude that he is not likely to return to pre-injury form at his age.

Smith was terrible. 3rd goal was horrible.
That said, tough to win in today’s NHL with a steady diet of <3 goals for per game.

Difference was, Price shut the door when the team needed him to the most. Smith deflated the team with the weak goal against. How you ar defending Smith is beyond me.

Smith with another stinker at home. How shocking.
Peters needs to get his head out of his arse.
Janko, Czarnik and Ryan have been completely useless too. All season long. Hope to see Dube and maybe Mangipane play soon.

Just saw the winning goal.
You know you let in a horrible goal when the other team is laughing after they score.

Considering Peters ripped Lack when he was with the Canes. If he actually goes back to Smith in the next 2 games. Ill ####ing die.

I don't know how you can really fault the Flames minus Smith. Your goalie let's in two stinkers and it's gonna suck the life and energy out of the bench. That last goal pretty much killed it and they looked defeated.

Fan960, really? Can we stop buttering Carey Prices toast? He was good not great. The Flames win this game with an NHL goalie performance easily. Just a sad bunch of media shills. Makes me sick.
