I really didn’t like Domi grabbing Hamonics mask. Kids a ####ing brat with a tough guy complex, and I wouldn’t mind seeing someone feed him.
I really didn’t like Backlund engaging someone on the bench.
I really really really didn’t like Smiths 3rd goal against.

The flames owned, and our 3rd D pairing has been so refreshingly consistent.

I have no evidence and am totally pulling this out of my butt but my theory is that they are sitting around a table and coming to a group consensus to let Smith earn his confidence back with these starts. I can't believe that Peters is just in love with Smith and insists on sticking with him after the garbage goaltending that he has endured as a coach. I'm guessing those other voices will change now and Peters will ride the hot hand. Please Jeebus let them go with whoever gives us the best chance to win.

Default Mike Smith loses the game with 2 abysmal goals against. Flames lose to Habs 3-2.

Mike Smith’s performance is the most upsetting part of my day...and I saw a guy working out in jeans today.

Ask for the stats guys here:

How many games have the Flames lost when they outshot their opponent?

Enough of trying to coddle this guy’s fragile ego. Sorry but this is a professional sports league where the only thing that matters is wins and losses. If you play ####ty and you feel bad that people are saying you’re playing ####ty, too bad. He has actively lost his team at least 4 games. Time to cut bait.

Peter's needs to wake the hell up.

Smith is not playing well. Full stop.

just start letting goalies play based on performance, not pecking order. Play them till they lose.

No way does Smith deserve to start after that debacle. Won't even bother watching if smith gets the call

I’m not defending Smith. At all. That last goal sucked.

What was more concerning is the flames scored 2 goals on like 45 shots. I get Price was good but for the second he wasn’t and we needed to capitalize on that and get better shots. I don’t get why we’re not scoring more in the last several games.

All of them? Have they even been out shot at all since last year?

Easily the most frustrating loss of the season. The game well in hand for the most part, and 2 weeeeeaaakkkkk goals that squeeze in by the goalie. Unacceptable.

I was glad to be wrong about the Bill Peters' hiring when it was first announced. I think he's a solid coach. But he has one fatal flaw. A flaw so terrible that it quite literally loses us games.

I get it. He wants Smith to find his groove and play out of this funk. But Bill, that decision you are making is literally....literally losing us games.

I'm going to be downright pissed if Smith is in net vs the Oilers. McDavid, mark my words, is going to have a career night if Smith is in net.

The sad thing, is that the possible solution to this goaltending problem is also quite literally sitting on the bench watching the game.

Any sane person would have to say that this was the straw that broke the camel's back. You just can't for the love of almighty Jesus Holy Christ, go back to Mike Smith.

For once in my life, I see a group of Flames' skaters that can play and keep up with any lineup in the league. Huge potential with this group. A group of Flames' players on the same team with this skill set is so damn rare, the team has to take advantage of it. And yet the coach keeps going back to the weakest link in the fence....when the solution might be under his nose.

Saturday night, it better be David ####ing Rittich

I'm not feeling very good about Neal either. Throw Ryan in there as well.

I actually didn't like this line, because Backlund's slump is killing them. I liked Tkachuk and Bennett together, though.

I wanna see Tkachuk-Bennett-Czarnik or Tkachuk-Bennett-Frolik.

I don't even blame Backlund for losing his cool. Flames dominate, only to be down by such a garbage goal. Habs probably were rubbing it in.

I'd say the 2nd goal was more bad luck than anything, and you could blame pretty much everyone on the ice for that one.

But goals 1 and 3 were 100% on Smith, which essentially cost us the 2 points tonight. So yea, he's definitely the goat in this one.

That can't possibly be the most concerning thing. It has to be Smith. If the Flames Kay like that every night with ordinary goaltending they win most of the time.

At the time I didn’t like what Backlind did but as soon as the penalty was over, felt happy he did it. Especially in replays.

Emotion is good.

That was rough, I was pretty silent after the 3rd goal, every time the opposing team enters the zone it's clench time.

If Smith starts on Saturday I'm going to follow the score, but I'm not going to watch. It's garbage to watch at this point (that said, the rest of the team look awesome).
