Mike Smith's... woes? He blows? Eating crows? Who knows! (Also David Rittich exists!)
Call it reactionary, whatever. The body of work here is immense and it's not unreasonable to say that Smith (assuming the Flames lose tonight) will have cost the Flames ~8 points this season after tonight.
This is absolutely unacceptable. This guy cannot continue playing for the Flames. Smith looks abysmal in net and it would not be intelligent management to keep starting him.

No, you do what any competent general manager does and contact one of the teams with an excess goaltender. Smith is not NHL-calibre.

I'd rather see Gillies and Rittich again. At least those two have the potential to get better. Smith is done. How many more weak wrist shots do we have to watch squeak through his pads before Treliving/Peters figure it out?
