I gotta say, I think Hathaway has done a great job of simplifying his game and finding ways to contribute every night. I wasn't sure he was an every day NHLer before this season began, but I'm sure of it now. A very effective player in a limited role.

Excellent period by the Flames. I'm not comfortable with this 1 goal lead though, especially with Smith in net. Need to pot a couple of insurance goals in the 3rd and then close it out.

Matthew Tkachuk with the fastest and most precise interview ever. Said perfectly in the fastest time possible. That man looks possessed. So focused on getting ready for the next period and getting the win.
He's the captain after Giordano. No doubt in my mind.

He wasn't really "on it", it was one of the rare moments this season where we've been able to make a line change in the offensive zone. As Bennett had basically taken a double shift due to Lindholm's injury. I firmly believe that being able to make forward changes in the O-Zone is a tenet of possession hockey that was grossly missing in the Gulutzan era and I think the current era could still look to make more one-by-one line changes too.
