Never been a big fan either. Perhaps I should give them more of a listen. Just know the mainstream stuff. I was like that for years with the Rolling Stones. Disliked them just because the geriatric rocker vibe they put off. But listened to more of their early stuff and became a much bigger fan.

Meh, all I'll say is having been fed a steady diet of Classic rock from a young age (26 now) PF has and probably always will be my favorite band of all time. My phone has over 5000 songs on it, 6 of the top 10 most played are Pink Floyd (Wish you were here, Comfortably Numb, Nobody Home, Poles Apart, Learning to fly), Just noticed Squeeze has 2 spots as well lmao. 100 Bucks to anyone who can guess the Squeeze songs

Even if people are 50/50 on Pink Floyd, I think we can all agree that The Doors are ####ing terrible trash.

It's that hard to believe someone would be annoyed about reading about a 40-year old stadium rock band as a side conversation? I don't like Pink Floyd. I'd venture to say most CP members haven't played PF even once in the past decade.

Pixies, Modest Mouse, Tool, Nirvana, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Blind Melon, Smalls, RATM are probably my favourites.

It is pretty hard to believe, because who cares? The OP wanted to talk about them because clearly it's an important band to him, this thread isn't exactly required reading. I'd venture to guess there isn't a single band the entirety of CP would agree is great, welcome to life.

Just because you still exclusively listen to what you listened to in high school doesn't mean the rest of us do.
Pixies rule though.

Yeah, I don't know about greatest, but I think they are basically one of the first that people coming of age really get into. It's like watching crap like Full House your entire childhood, and then you discover Monty Python.
I think people discover The Wall. Everybody up until some point is just listening to Justin Bieber or Nickleback junk and then they get Pink Floyd, and they be like...

I had a very similar experience to this when I listened to DSotM for the first time last November. It was a domino effect.

That was funny. I don't agree with the sentiment but I did chuckle.

So after a year of not being on CP you learned that MMF is still alive?
I naturally assumed you were wandering the Amazonian Jungle in search of the Lost City of MMF.
I'm told it exists....sarcastically.

My brain is almost hardwired at this point to think of MMF as something else entirely.

Do you pray to him at night, too?
Oh great and mighty Lord MMF, please deliver us from the boredom of CP, rise again like a phoenix to bless us with your wit.

More of a "thing" than a him, but... I suppose if one had to pray, it would be for the former and not the latter.
