Not really fair IMO. He made a couple nice plays in the offensive zone but Peluso ignored the pick and went for hits

The Flames are playing well enough that they are able to bail out Smith in a lot of games. Assuming he hasn’t forgotten how to play his position and he’s healthy, then let’s let him work this out. I highly doubt that he can’t get his game back. Use a little more Rittich, yes, but let Smith work through this, if he can. What’s the alternative.
The people calling him garbage/trash...stay awesome guys.

Yikes. Just saw the replay on goal two. It's like he's expecting the team to clean up them rebounds. No reaction until he realized that he kicked it to a wide open duck but it was already in the net.
Team coverage was poor but Smiths reaction is terrible.

Smith used to be a goalie who would fight for every save. Desperation. He no longer seems to do that. A strong starter/goalie will never give up on a shot or rebound. Sprawl, dive. Etc.
