First 2 of 6 points on the way. No Jobu required.
Goals from Bennett and Czarnik tonight and an absolute beat down.
I want to see Rakkel and Getslaugh get drilled or beaten up by someone.
2-1-0 in his last three on the road. 2.00 GAA, 0.935 SP, 1 SO.
I am not especially worried. Mike Smith was spectacular in both his games in Anaheim last year.
Do you think the city in which he plays carries more weight than his recent play? I tend to think the whole home/away thing with Smith is more anomaly than anything but what do I know.
I am hoping the extended time off and practice time for Smith yield some positive results.
I think Rittich not having a great game against Chicago might actually help Smith, takes a bit of pressure off in his head. Combine that with the break and I think he might actually play well today. I'm more concerned about the rest of the team, they always seem to be lackluster after a break, although more so when they play at home.
This ducks team is pretty bad and they played last night, so we should win this, but there are no guarantees in the NHL. Will be hard to stay up for this one but I'm hoping to, also hoping Czarnik scores because I like his speed and liked what I saw from him earlier and I think he deserves to be in the lineup.
I am always nervous when we play Anaheim. Somehow, they find ways to make it really awful for us. Don't have a good feeling about this one, guys, sorry. Flames could be a bit rusty and resting on their laurels from the past few good games. Hopefully, I am totally wrong and they kick Anaheim's a$$ really good...

I’ve been hoping for us to utterly dominate a team this year, it would be delicious if it were tonight against the Ducks. Something in the order of 7-1 Flames.

If not tonight then I’ll take an a$$ whooping of the McOilers as a close second.

Well, the numbers I posted certainly qualify as Mike Smith's "recent play." His last game on the road was probably his second best game of the season. He has played only one game since then.
Of all of the highs and lows of Mike Smith this is the ONE item of consistency that goes back to his first game playing behind the Calgary Flames. For more than a year now Mike Smith has been demonstrably better on the road than he is at the Saddledome. I don't pretend to know the reason for this, but I think with how engrained this pattern is it cannot be dismissed as an anomaly.

I am looking for a statement game from the Flames tonight. Anaheim started this season 4-1-1 and then went 2-6-2 heading into tonight's game. They have some injuries; they are down. Flames are top four in offence. It's time to lay a beating royale on the Mighty Turds of Anaheim and tell them to get used to it. 7-2 Flames!
Oh great, a 10:30 start time? They better win or else
