Unfortunately I have a wedding reception I will be at tonight. I will leave my tv on though so Mr Sticky can catch all the action. GFG.

I'll go with a 4-0 victory for the Flames. Neal with two goals and Johnny and Giordano with the other ones.

We're on a 4 game point streak, the Blackhawks have lost 4 in a row.
We're starting our good goalie.
What could go wrong?

Which I totally understand. But it seems like some people are saying that they would prefer Smith to start because they want him to find his game, and that's nuts to me. Roll with Rittich as the #1 until he proves he can't do it, and hope Smith finds his game in practice/limited starts. Rittich gives them the best chance to win right now, so play him.

Hawks are on the ropes. Boys need to come out hard. Be nice to see some early results for what have been pretty good starts of late.

And this is nuts to me. It is essentially playing all your chips on the hope of this one outcome. The Flames are jockeying for the Division lead under the present circumstances, and I think stand to improve on that even with Rittich only increasing his workload incrementally to start. This also helps to insulate Smith from going completely cold, and provides a safety valve in then event Rittich slips. He is still pretty young and not with much experience in this League. I find it baffling how quickly some posters are to fast-tack his development.

The guy is 26, it's not like we're saying to throw Parsons to the wolves. And I think the odds of Rittich taking over the starting role are WAY higher than the odds of Smith taking it back.

The comeback last game was extremely exciting, but I’d like us to lay an old fashioned ass kicking on a team for once. 7-1 Flames

I agree. So let him take over. Don't just hand the reigns over after a good start to the season,.

Yeah as exciting as the last game was, I'm perfectly alright with a nice relaxing 3-1 game where we dominate the entire 60 minutes with little to no heart attack moments

Logically, it does make sense to increase his workload slowly. However, anymore 4+GAA games by Smith might force BPs hand to increase Rittich's workload more rapidly if he continues playing well.
